For Clifton High School seniors pursuing EMT or paramedic training at Bergen Community College.
Emergency Medical Technicians and Mobile Intensive Care Unit paramedics play a critical role in our healthcare system, providing urgent care and saving lives. This scholarship is designed for Clifton High School seniors who are aspiring EMTs or paramedics planning to attend Bergen Community College. Through it, we hope to support the next generation of emergency responders and improve care in Clifton and neighboring communities.
Marcin Bednarz was driven by a deep desire to make a difference. He began as an EMT volunteer at 16 and went on to serve as an EMT and paramedic at Valley Hospital and Englewood Health EMS, and as a volunteer firefighter for the Wallington Fire Department. In April 2024, his life was cut short at the age of 22. This scholarship honors his memory and his legacy of selfless service.
By easing financial pressures, the family hopes to enable more passionate individuals to enter this vital field. The family is grateful to the Clifton Education Foundation for administering these scholarships and keeping Marcin's memory alive.
With gratitude, Maggie Wojtylo, Assistant Principal, Clifton Public School Two.
